Treasures Speakers Bureau

We believe that story matters.

We believe that survivor’s voices should be a part of events that discuss sex trafficking and exploitation.

We believe that the Church’s willingness to create safe spaces for dialogue about porn and sex addiction is essential to seeing the demand for commercial sex services reduced.

We believe that outreach and care to women in the sex industry should be delivered thoughtfully and with excellence.

We believe that together, we CAN make a difference! It is because of this, we have developed the Treasures Speaker’s Bureau!

Harmony Dust (MSW)

Founder/Executive Director of Treasures Ministries

Harmony Dust founded Treasures Ministries (Treasures), a faith-based, survivor-led outreach and support group to women in the sex industry and victims of sex trafficking in 2003.

She completed a Master’s Degree in Social Work at UCLA before going on to work as a Children’s Social Worker at the Department of Children Services. In 2007, she received the Dorothy F. Kirby Outstanding Youth Social Worker Award from the National Associate of Social Workers.

As a sex-industry overcomer, Harmony is passionate about assisting women in their journey of healing and transformation. Using a combination of personal story, biblical insights and evidence-based theories, she sheds light on the impact a “pornified” culture has on the people who live in it.

In 2007, Harmony’s story was featured in Glamour Magazine, bringing an international spotlight to the work of Treasures. As the need for similar organizations across the globe became apparent, Harmony and her team began training others to replicate the Treasures model of outreach and care in their cities. Since that point, through the Outreach Training Program, Treasures has provided training for over 70 outreach affiliates throughout the US, Africa, Canada and Australia. Her goal is to train, disciple and mobilize outreach leaders in every major city on the globe where the commercial sex industry is operating.

She has been featured in various media sources, including Glamour Magazine, The Dr. Drew Show, The Tyra Banks Show and Preachers of LA. She is a sought after speaker and her memoir, Scars & Stilettos, gives an account of the journey of going from working in strip clubs, to leading an organization that reaches women in the sex industry on a global scale.

Monique Calderon

Treasures Administrative Assistant, Speaker, Support Group Host

Monique is born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Her dream of being an actress led her to live the Hollywood life, and before she knew it, her flexible and fun job as a Go-Go Dancer led to her working as a Party Stripper and then snowballed into her using her body for whatever she wanted. Her party hard lifestyle led her in jail facing possible attempted murder charges. That night as she sat looking back on her life and wondered how she let her life spin so out of control, she decided to give God a try.

She wasn't immediately healed of her addictions, her issues didn't go away, but something in her had changed. It what could only be said as a miracle, all charges against her were dropped and it was then that she realized that God did care for her and heard her cries.

On September 11, 2011 she gave her life to the Lord and stepped away from the Sex Industry for good. Monique has since done Mission work in the Red Light Districts of the Philippines and in Vietnam. Monique is the host for our therapist led Support Group and she has shared her story of redemption to many.
